Parish Link with Rwanda

The Parish of Nyarugenge in the Anglican Diocese of Shyogwe, Rwanda has enjoyed a partnership link with St John's Church, Marchwood since before the genocide and war of 1994.  It was originally set up by Bishop Onesphore RWAJE who is currently the Bishop of Byumba Diocese.  In 1995 David Dale began correspondence with the Pastor Manasse Mugasa, father of John Wesley Kabango.  75% of the parish at that time were widows and orphans following the genocide of 1994.
In 1999 David Dale visited Nyarugenge and the then Pastor Rosemary NYIRANDAKIZE and her husband Archdeacon Assa MUHAWENIMANA.
From that time David Dale has visited Nyarugenge on eight occasions.  There have been 3 Pastors since Rosemary and the current Pastor is Pastor Innocent MUNYABURANGA who was appointed around September 2005.
