Our old Church Hall was a post-war pre-fab bungalow which was put on site in the early 1970's. It was deteriorating rapidly and the congregation have made a marvellous effort in raising and donating funds for a new hall. The total cost of the building, fees , planning etc will be about £157000. The building is well under way and should be ready for handover by mid-October 2010.
We have received of support from the Veolia Environmental Trust, the Garfield Weston Foundation, The Peter Barker-Mills memorial Trust and Oceanic Estates and are now seeking the final £25,000 needed to complete the project.
The old hall was demolished on 9 June 2010 and Forestside Construction have undertaken the work.
